All About the "Paper Girls"

D'Alessio's original mixed medium collages are comprised of multi-colored handmade and textured papers.  He tears shapes to form the base of the “Paper Girls."  Then, photographed multiple times, he produces an ultra chrome print on canvas or paper, collages it with paint, paper, ink and found objects to add more textures and elements to the final attitudes.  The garments are printed from the original art work with permanent inks to ensure long lasting wear.

 These works,  inspired by the styles and attitudes of all women D'Alessio tries to capture the gestures and moods that fashion a look that crosses all cultural and social restraints to find the true internal phenomena of the feminine.  In each piece he hopes all of us can find something of ourselves and the women we love.
